Madelyn Blair, Ph.D.
Madelyn Blair is one of the world's leading experts on information overload and how individuals, teams, and organizations can overcome it. A former Division Chief of the World Bank, she has over 30 years of managerial and executive experience. Dr. Blair works with leaders at all levels in organizations that range from large, international businesses to start-ups, creating working environments that bring the best of staff knowledge to achieve desired results.

Madelyn Blair is the founder of Pelerei, Inc. and is a senior organizational development consultant, facilitator, designer and coach of learning experiences, and expert researcher, building her work on strength-based techniques. She is recognized as one of the founding members of the movement of the use of story in organizational settings. She is a faculty member at Kent State University in the Information Architecture and Knowledge Management program. She is a co-moderator of Worldwide Story Work, an Associate of the Taos Institute and member of the Taos Institute Associates Council, and co-director of the Center for Narrative Studies. Dr. Blair received her doctorate in organizational psychology from the University of Tilburg, The Netherlands, and holds an MBA from The Wharton School.
Her clients include Bank of Canada, The World Bank, Brookings Institute, the Regional Chamber of Cincinnati, International Monetary Fund, USDA, Smithsonian Institution, and the National Institutes of Health.
She is the author of Riding the Current: How to Deal with the Daily Deluge of Data and Essays in Two Voices. She is a contributing author of Lessons from the Field and Wake Me Up When the Data Is Over. Her next book, Riding the Current Workbook: Overcoming Information Overload, will be published in 2011. She is the creator and writer of Mental Espresso. She is a wife, mother, and mountain climber.
